Reem and Natalya Kanj, the sister act duo behind renowned fashion and lifestyle blog 'Five Five Fabulous' split their time between London and Dubai, capturing their stylish experiences of fashion, food and travel. However, it's their impeccable knack for modernising fine jewellery that recently caught our eye. We spoke to the Reem and Natalya to find out how to work such finery into everyday looks.

Tell us about Five Five Fabulous and how the idea came about. Reem: It all started when I graduated from university, during the worst economic time. Instead of waiting around for a job, I decided to just create my own role. Natalya soon jumped on board and the rest is history!

How would you describe each other's style? Reem: Natalya is definitely a minimalist. I think I am too, but I am a little more open to experimenting.
Natalya: Reem definitely takes more risks! I like to stick to neutral colours and simple silhouettes.

How do you usually incorporate fine jewellery into your everyday looks? Natalya: I think jewellery really completes an ensemble. Because I dress so minimally, I like to rely on my accessories to do the talking sometimes. I love layering subtle and dainty jewellery pieces. My favourites have become part of my everyday style. My outfit definitely feels incomplete without it.
Reem: A piece of fine jewellery should be what polishes off your look. I am obsessed with earrings. I love using them as the focal point or talking piece of my look. Almost every time I wear a pair of earrings, I get asked about them.

What are your favourite pieces from Ounass at the moment and why? Reem: I adore the Delfina Delattrez pearl earrings. They're so unique! The Marli rings are amazing too. Pieces like this can really add a lot of intrigue to simple looks.
Natalya: I’m absolutely obsessed with the Bee Goddess star ear cuff. It definitely stands out and would be the ultimate piece within any outfit.

Do you recall the first ever piece of jewellery that was significant to you? Natalya: Growing up, our parents would occasionally gift us with beautiful pieces. My first memory of anything I wore was a gold charm bracelet as well as my ‘Natalya’ name necklace.
Reem: My Dad bought me a set of pink diamonds when I was a teenager. I’ll never forget how blown away I was when I saw them. They’re so beautiful!

How do you think is best to style fine jewellery with everyday looks? Reem: I think you have to have the same attitude as you do with any other expensive accessory you wear. Don’t overdo it, don’t allow it to overpower your everyday look and just wear everything with confidence.
Natalya: These days, fine jewellery doesn't necessarily mean huge diamonds or over the top pieces, it can also err more on the minimal side. I personally love incorporating pieces like this within my everyday style.
